Game 27 Twist in the tale

Preston were mugged at the end by Brentford, after dominating the vast majority of the game the home side fell to a sucker punch with a minute to go when centre back Dean mazy run down the left wing led to him putting an inch perfect cross for German to head home the equaliser.
It was the Bees first effort on target and it went in, it got them a barely deserved point.
North End had played well in the first half with efforts from Laird, Wroe and Welsh being saved by the decent Brentford keeper Moore, for the visitors a couple of efforts from Douglas went close.
North End controlled the play and for once it was a decent first half performance.
A bitty start to the second half with neither side looking dangerous until North End took the lead in the 62nd minute, the Bees never really cleared their defence following a North End attack and the ball was headed down to Laird in the area, he tried for a spectacular overhead kick, however shinned the ball into the ground from where it bounced ever so gently into the net.
In control the home side looked to kill off the visitors Buchanan and Wroe all going close, with the clock ticking down towards the end of the game, the points looked bound for the hosts until the late twist in the tale.
Disappointing result although the performance was decent. Try again on Tuesday night.
