NO GOALS ZERO POINTS 2024/25 Season Blog

On April 9 2024 Milutin Osmajic bagged the third goal of a seven minute hattrick to give Preston a 4-1 lead against a Huddersfield side who would end the seson being relegated

Little did we know that it would be the last goal we would score last season, we followed the victory with defeats against Norwich, QPR, Southampton, Leicester and WBA.

The run of defeats led for calls for a change of manager sadly the present incumbent Ryan Fantstic Lowe is still in place, which has not been met with universal approval.

Off the field we have sold 10,000 season tickets, astonishing really, given the depression around the place at the end of last season, we have a loyal fan base who long for success unfortunately with the management structure we have at the moment, it will not be arriving any day soon.

TRANSFERS

No one has been signed as of yet however the contract year ends on Sunday so hopefully, there will be some movement. We will also find out if long serving captain Alan Browne has sorted his contract details out with them upstairs, rumours of Sheffield United hovering for his signature. The Blades are also hoping to sign one of better players Liam Millar who we had on loan from Basel. We have been linked with a player from Belgium who surprise, surprise has also been linked with United.

The connection with United even goes to our first match as we meet on the 9th August at Deepdale. The fixtures have given us a hard start, two ex Premier League clubs at home, Luton being the other and a trip to Swansea were we do always tend to come second. Oxford round off August's game, new ground a wonderful of a car park, by the time we get to Oxford could well be eight games on the bounce without a victoty, could be a big match for Fantastic

Pre Season games

The highlight is the home game against Fiorentina, as well as the usual local friendlies and a game against Lincoln in Spain

Before the season starts still have to suffer England in the Euro's, Southagte makes Lowe look like a tactical magician.
Finish above the three at the bottom will credit as a success
